{"id":287,"date":"2026-11-07T10:57:05","date_gmt":"2026-11-07T10:57:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/xikulu.net\/?p=287"},"modified":"2026-11-07T10:57:52","modified_gmt":"2026-11-07T10:57:52","slug":"charlotte-tibana-not-applying-for-bail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xikulu.net\/index.php\/2026\/11\/07\/charlotte-tibana-not-applying-for-bail\/","title":{"rendered":"Charlotte Tibana not applying for bail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Charlotte Tibana<\/strong> will not be applying for bail when she appears again in the Polokwane Magistrate\u2019s Court on the 13th of November 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tibana<\/strong>, who is accused number one in the case, will appear alongside her husband, <strong>Peter \u201cGagash\u201d Nonyane<\/strong>, who is accused number two and who is expected to bring a bail application on the same day. More charges are expected to be added against both of them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tibana<\/strong> and <strong>Nonyane<\/strong> are facing charges of fraud, theft and money laundering. The State alleges that money was taken from the estates of 15 deceased people, with the amount involved estimated at R11 million.<\/p>\n<p>Because she will not be applying for bail, <strong>Tibana<\/strong> will remain in custody. <strong>Gagash<\/strong> is also currently in custody pending his bail application.<\/p>\n<p>Their co-accused, <strong>Rirhandzu Tibana<\/strong> and <strong>Jabulani Maluleke<\/strong>, are out on bail of R60 000 each. The case has been postponed to 27 November 2026.
